We believe that successful students require both excellent academic and pastoral support.

Danny Lee
Danny is the School's Student Wellbeing Advisor and is a specialist supporting the welfare and wellbeing of students, working closely with the School's Senior Tutor . Danny is available for one-to-one meetings. For more details please see section 2.7 of the Design Engineering Undergraduate Student Handbook.

Your personal tutor is there to support you in your personal, general academic, and professional development. Through regular contact and the establishment of a supportive and professional relationship, the Personal Tutors maintain an overview of their tutees’ academic progress, development and wellbeing.
Dr Pelin Demirel
As Senior Tutor for Postgraduate Research (PGR), Pelin has overall responsibility for the academic and pastoral care of postgraduate students and can guide and support students with problems or queries. Dr Lorraine Craig
Faculty Senior Tutors have responsibility for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high quality support for students in their personal, general academic and professional development. Working with and supporting Personal Tutors and Senior Tutors, they ensure that support systems are effective, that training is appropriate and that College policies in student support are implemented. In addition, each Faculty Senior Tutor provides support to their senior tutors and directly to students who have more complex concerns or situations.
Nicholas Moult
Nick is responsible for student administration of postgraduate research programmes and is the contact point for queries from prospective postgraduate research students, along with being able to advise on research degree administrative processes such as milestones and completion.
Mental Health First Aiders will provide you with a safe space to start a confidential conversation about your mental health and signpost you to the most appropriate support. Our Mental Health First Aiders are:
The Departmental Disability Officer (DDO), Danny Lee is your first point of contact if there is anything about you as a person or your health such as disabilities and learning differences due to which you may benefit from support arrangements around factors like examinations.
Ingrid Logan, Senior Workshop Technician, School Safety Officer
